Some colour and some failure

On a more personal note, I give you my first new image of my hardcore studying, and my first failure! If nothing else I have learned exactly what I need to work on, and that's basically everything!. I think considering I've never painted metal before the pan came out pretty good as far as I got. But basically I realised that I don't know anything about form, colour especially, even simple things like construction of the head. I have a lot to learn and thankfully plenty of time to do it. I think I'll start with a master study and some still lifes.

Issues with colour?

I have no idea why, but when uploaded to Blogger all the colours seems to loose saturation and the contrast is reduced. If anyone knows why and could let me know how to rectify this that would be great, otherwise please visit my website for the more accurate images.
